----------

I've been trying to cut down on my political/current events reading because it tends to just make me angry and depressed.  Today, I got a reminder why.

Record snowfall has buried Washington -- and along with it, buried the chances of passing global warming legislation this year.

"It's going to keep snowing in DC until Al Gore cries "uncle," the conservative Senator  [DeMint] tweeted on Twitter.

Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.) said the blizzards that have shut down Congress have made it more difficult to argue that global warming is an imminent danger

"Where's Al Gore when we need him?" quipped Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.), who burst out laughing when asked about the prospect of passing cap-and-trade legislation Tuesday while the city was still digging out.

I could write a bunch here about why this is dumb as hell and a gross misunderstanding of basic science and logic, but that's Jesse's niche.  And also I suddenly need to pop some antacids.

Short version: global warming has increased the amount of moisture in the air, leading to increased precipitation of all varieties. In areas where it is still cold enough to snow, it will therefore snow more.

Will denying global warming make the snow stop?

Should you really be surprised, Kevin? I'm pretty sure those deniers-of-global-warming have proven time and time again that they abhor such non-sensical things like "science." (see: evolution)

I admire the valuable information you offer in your articles. I will bookmark your blog and have my children check up here often. I am quite sure they will learn lots of new stuff here than anybody else!

Thought provoking, and I will have to think about this some more.. saved. Hope to observe an update quickly!

Great information.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. An excellent read. I'll certainly be back.

“While their constant attacks were frustrating this summer, their tactics of aggression and bullying did not work on me, and have not worked on Parliament. The Firearms Act was passed into law for good reason, and Parliament continues to recognize its benefits by upholding the legislation in its entirety.”

Performers have more invested in a regional accent that contributes to their public persona than people in other professions. I complain about Bonos haitches in the HIV spots, but I suppose he feels it necessary to stay in character, even while doing international philanthropic work.

good writing so far ...Bookmarked.

Excelent info my friend!!, keep it comming!

I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

to be completely honest with you i think its great

Hello. Thank you for posting this!

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Felicitation pour votre blogg qui est un plaisir a decouvrir.
Article vraiment bien redige. Cordialement.
