While I know that you are all dedicated readers, some of you may not go back and read new comments that come in on entries from seven months ago. I wonder what our friend Pete Abel over at Suddenlink will have to say about this?

I'm currently a employee of Suddenstink. They are a piss poor company to work for. The left hand and the right hand don't communicate (sad since they are a COMMUNICATION COMPANY!) Sales Department tells you one thing (while they are slamming you I might add), then billing tells you another, then you go to cancel and yet you hear another. They have lowered the bar so low for employment that they now have to dig a trench to put the bar in!!! They are getting rid of all the experienced workers with knowledge and replacing them with cheap high school labor!! They are hurting from this recession and have cut the commission rates they pay to their employees by 80%!!! I have lost about $1200.00 a month due to this as has many an employee. This company needs to take a serious look at itself and where it is heading! Because the monkeys that are running it now don't know anything! It was much better organized when Cox was running the show! Wake up suddenlink! If you feel the need to email the owner, Jerry Kent, his email address is jkent@suddenlink.com

Employed until they find this posting.

I feel kind of like Perez Hilton. Except without, you know, the gay.

And the sad part? It's still better than Comcast.

There's apparently no way to tell if this is an actual employee of Suddenlink or not, and as a general rule, I refrain from debating anonymous people. I can tell you that, having been with Suddenlink for six years now, our employees on balance have very favorable views of the company. In fact, in our internal surveys of employee satisifaction, we continue to exceed national norms on every measure and have improved scores, as a company, year-over-year. Those trends would not be what they are if we were the type of company this anonymous person falsely claims.

Pete,

One could say, that if the anonymous commentator's claims about 80% cut in commissions are true, he at the very least knows someone who works at Suddenlink.

An aside, do you only read this blog when Google tells you there is new Suddenlink information, or have you been following it regularly? If the latter is true, have you tried making my mom's super melty mac & cheese yet? It's delicious.

Jim

Jim -- I've heard nothing about an 80% cut in anything, which is one of the reasons I doubt this commenter's veracity. On your other question, I confess, I'm not a regular reader. But I am going to search now for your mom's mac&cheese recipe. Thanks for the suggestion!

Upon further review..... what about calling it a "Fantasy Football Calendar"? Each page could have a different table of useful information... some serious, some fun, some bizarre. Keep the verbiage to a minimum, because we all know a well presented table is worth a million words. With all the millions of fantasy players in this world, these things would sell like crazy!

I clearly have to think a lot more in that way to see things i can do over it.

Mandelson, the Labour peer I remind you, not a conservative one, is looking over an eight million pound property. He's contemplating buying it outright, which means he feels he can afford the upkeep on the property too. I ask you, where's the difference between the Tory and the Labour parties these days? They're all getting rich from our endeavours... I ask you also, how does any formerly financially rank and file politician get to be able to afford something like this? All he had to sell was.. well, was us - down the river, I would think! I'm not too relaxed about that, personally!

I like this blog so much, saved to fav. "I don't care what is written about me so long as it isn't true." by Dorothy Parker.
